Sage Lantern Garden
A lantern vase gives Sage Lantern Garden its character. Fresh blooms are arranged inside and around the lantern by a florist in South Korea, and the whole piece arrives ready to place on a shelf or an entrance table. Families abroad like it as a present for the hosts at Seollal, the Lunar New Year, when relatives gather at the eldest son's home and nobody should turn up empty-handed, even from a distance. Include a contact number for someone in the house, as holiday visits mean people come and go. Sage Lantern Garden is sent by family members overseas as a Seollal greeting to the household hosting the Lunar New Year gathering, or as a winter housewarming gift. A local florist in South Korea delivers it by hand.
